Heal the Soil – Heal the Soul!
This year we are blessed to be able to offer a really special educational opportunity for our volunteers and farm team! Local urban farming champion and beyond organic grower James Loomis will be doing the crop planning and seedling starting for the farm and be teaching a series of Sunday late afternoon farm trainings onsite with our team so that everyone gets a solid, soulful education and we get our farm running in tip top shape.

*Although there is no charge for this event, participants are being trained to be able to give volunteer service throughout the growing season at the Farm. Please click here to make sure that some of our volunteer dates and times will work for you and to SIGN UP for the 2020 volunteer season! We will discuss more details on the 1st.

Stay tuned for more workshop details and sign-up information!

The Utah Permaculture Collective (which manages Krishna’s Food Forest & Farm) meets every week in neighborhood groups across the valley from 6 pm to 8 pm. We bring healthy vegetarian or vegan food to share, often gather early to garden together, and listen to a presentation regarding a new permaculture related topic each week. Join us as a member of the Utah Permaculture Collective network. You can also join our Facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/utahpermaculturecollective

Ecstatic Dance

ecstatc dance group

Ecstatic Dance SLC is a moving meditation… a venue for exploring your own unique inner dance. There is no choreography or steps to follow; just an invitation to surrender to the rhythm of the music and let yourself go! Join us at the Krishna Temple every Sunday, from 11 am – 3 pm, and Wednesday, 6 pm – 10 pm, beginning with 1 hour of  movement class, such as yoga or contact improvisation, followed by 2 and a half to 3 hours of dancing, and ends with a closing circle full of music and communal sharing of support and gratitude. Food is prepared by the temple, and available for sale after each dance.

Visit the Ecstatic Dance SLC Facebook page and like them to stay in the loop!
